There is a new shipment coming in this week (fingers crossed). Before I get into that, I forgot to mention one other neat thing about the Little Skeeters (the 12 to 20 ga in particular) if you have a Chaszel 20 gauge shotgun insert you can use the little skeeter ga converter to hold your Chaszel 20 ga caliber adaptor, in your 12 ga therefore extending the use of your Chaszel 20 ga. I use a 3rd O-ring on the muzzle end of the Chaszel insert between the ones in the groove and it stabilizes nicely.
The new shipment on the way has some more SSK Encore barrels in 22-250, 223 rem 300 whisper (aka 300 Blackout), 375 H&H. 30-30 and 308 Win. and 45 Colt. Also Contender barrels in 6.5 Grendel, 300 whisper (aka 300 blackout) 410 shotgun and 45 Colt. As usual very limited qtys.
There will be some new Chaszel caliber conversion units in 400 legend and 10mm

There is a new company in the line-up. "Little Skeeters" gauge conversion inserts. You may be thinking, wait a minute isnt that why you have Chaszel inserts? Little Skeeters are different, where Chaszel typically make inserts that allow you to shoot a pistol or rifle cartridge in your single or double shotgun, Little Skeeters allow you to use a smaller gauge shell. Why would you want to do that. Well if you want a little less recoil when teaching someone to shoot they can use a 20 gauge shell in your 12 gauge or a 410 in your 20 ga. Maybe you have an old 16 ga and shells are a little hard to find, one of these adaptors will let you shoot a more plentiful 20 ga or 410. These inserts come in a package of two adaptors so you can fill both barrels or carry a spare if you are using a single. You can find them in the barrel liners & shotgun inserts page click here near the bottom of the page. I should have a report on them on the Blog page soon.

Just listed for your Ruger 10/22. As these were brought in as a trial there are Limited Qtys.
We now have some Replacement stocks by Hogue and Magpul.
Scope rails, most are Picatinny by EGW and Midwest Industries. all are an improvement over the factory job.
We also have brought in some bolt release plates to change that weird bolt release the 10/22s use. With this plate installed you can lock the bolt back and when you want to release the bolt to feed a cartridge or close the bolt you simply have to pull back the bolt and let go. It took about 10 minutes to change over (5 minutes if I hadn't dropped the pin).

Well, the Green Mountain barrels are here. I have added the new 10-22 barrels to the list. There are a bunch of new additions including more fluted, SS. and one with fire sights. There are limited quantities of each. Also a single 22" barrel left for the Ruger RPR listed on the Ruger 10-22 page.
Shaw barrels for 10-22 should be arriving in a couple weeks with an emphasis on 10.5" and 16.5" barrels.
Also on that shipment should be some Encore barrels in 223, 243, 6.5 Creedmoor, 30-30 (and one AI), 350 Legend, 375 win, Verrrry limited quantities of these.

Wishing a happy New year to all.
Most of the new inventory is now priced on the web site.
Some people have sent messages in over the shut down. A few have received quick replies but by and large I will be starting to clear the messages starting next week, thank you for your patience.
Bill C-21 = uncertainty.
I have been asked how this will affect NINE35 and at this point I am saying "I don't know" and continuing with business as usual. Is a barrel blank the same as a finished barrel, are liners = to barrels and are inserts = barrels?
For now there are no specific regs for the transfer of Barrels. So we carry on as usual but changes are likely coming. When? is the big question along with how onerous will they be? Will it be for the buyer to provide a PAL number? A PAL number and RCMP check? Will I have to be licenced to the same standard as a gun store? The answer is likely to have an effect on prices.

Also as we approach Christmas I would like to announce that we will be shut down for a Christmas Break from December 16, until January 2, 2024. I hope to use the time to inventory the latest shipment, update the website to reflect what is new and spend some time with family and celebrate Christmas. Chaszel has indicated that a 12 ga x 10mm and 12 ga x 40 S&W are in the works. We have pre ordered some of the 40 S&W in 6" and 11" they will also be available in 18" ( not currently on our order)
If you are interested in either the 10mm (6", 11" or 18") or 40 S&W (18")let us know and we can see about adding it to the order.
It looks like we will have enough orders for another MGM order to go in early January. If you want to get in, talk to us soon. Del. is currently roughly 6 months from our order date.

The awaited shipment mentioned below has finally arrived, with 50 TC barrels and a bunch of MGM barrels.
We have more on order and it will depend on whether our US supplier is able to source these as to whether we will see further shipments.
Some of the TC and most of the MGM are pre-sold. Over the next couple of days I will be contacting those who have put a deposit on these barrels and whatever is left will be listed and priced after that point.
A note about the upcoming pricing. As mentioned previously there have been some startling price increases.
Our pricing policy is to mark up based on what we paid. As an example two barrels in a particular caliber were ordered, subsequent to the TC discontinuation announcement 4 more of the same barrels were ordered. The difference in our price will result in a $70 price difference (CAD). When the initial 2 lower price barrels are sold the price will be increased on the remaining 4 barrels by the mentioned $70. This type of discrepancy is not unique to this particular caliber. In other words, despite the current situation in the TC barrel market we will continue to charge our standard mark up based on actual costs. Maybe that is stupid, but that is how we do it.

Big news, not sure whether it is good or bad yet.
Smith and Wesson announced a couple days ago that they would discontinue the Thompson Center line of firearms immediately and put it up for sale.
This is bad as the supply of barrels and parts which is already difficult to get will get much worse in the short term.
Could it be good news? Smith and Wesson has, in my opinion, not been true to the TC heritage. After they bought it, it went from a focused firearms manufacturer concentrating on single shot firearms, to a broad spectrum player. Particularly in the area of the contender and encore firearms they parred down the caliber offering to rationalize sales and profit only.
Hopefully a new owner will come forward and revitalize this neglected area of the shooting sports.
I have ordered more encore barrels to try and bring as many as I can into Canada before the well runs dry.
Of course NINE35 will still be bringing in MGM barrels to supply custom Encore and Contender barrels.
Recently we got more Green Mountain barrels in however we are still waiting to be replenished in the 9mm area in particular.

Some Bellm stuff just came in, mostly forend screws and hammer extensions. More Bellm items on order including pins, spring kits and special 80 degree honing stones to fix the sear angle. Headspace shim kits also on this order.
Talked to Chaszel and like most US manufacturers they are swamped. The next production run will include 12 ga x 30-30 and 12 ga x 45-70 and 12 ga x 44mag all in 18" lengths. Scheduled to run in early summer. If you are interested pre order now so that I can make sure to get enough in. Easy way to finally get that 45-70 double gun.
Make sure you have a strong firearm to handle these conversion inserts.
Some Green Mountain barrel blanks on order but the same situation as Chaszel, My stock is dwindling by the day many calibers are slim pickings. E-mail for available blanks.

Available Encore barrels are up on the Encore page. For most of these barrels there is only 1 left in stock.
I had a chance to do a quick look over the Chaszel inserts. They look nicely finished and are well marked. I have had some questions from customers about the fit in different barrels (particularly a rifled bore). The inserts come with 3 grooves for an o-ring at the muzzle end (and one in the chamber area). The o-ring should hold it in place and centered. Each groove is .010 bigger in dia than the previous one so you can match it to your bore by moving it to the next groove. I intend to try out the 357 mag in a H&R Tracker rifled 12 ga. that I have. I chose this one because it has a scope mounted (best chance to check accuracy with older eyes) and surprisingly it also had the largest bore. Look for a short review here in the next couple weeks. Some more Green Mountain blanks in. NINE35 caries over a dozen different calibers and over 100 barrel blanks in stock at any one time. Some blanks like 22, 6.5 and 30 cal. may have different twist rates available. Blank prices range from a little under $100 (short 9mm barrels) on up.
We have ordered some "Shaw barrel" Ruger Charger barrels (10.5") Bull profile, these will fit your Ruger 10/22 if you want to make it more compact. Note: this must be used with a fixed stock to keep the length over 26". This is legal because this is not a cut down or modified barrel but factory produced at this length.
Chaszel shotgun inserts initial order is in and will hopefully be here on the next order limited quantities of 9mm, 357 mag and 45 colt in 6", 11" and 18" Most in 20 ga but some for 12 ga.

Some odds and ends
PEREGRINE MAGnet GUN CADDY w/VELCRO are in $10 ea. these are great for rifles and shotguns that are too short to use the barrel rests in your gun safe. Or use them in the field, the magnet can be placed on your your car or truck fender to stop your gun from sliding off.
ProMag SKS 7.62 5 round mags $25 ea. Why have all that extra useless magazine hanging down there. Some work required, remove your old mag, may require some modification of the stock and a small amount of fitting to the back edge of the mag or of the mag well. So if you don't have patience and some wood working tools and skills you may want to skip these.

There is a new company in the line-up. "Little Skeeters" gauge conversion inserts. You may be thinking, wait a minute isnt that why you have Chaszel inserts? Little Skeeters are different, where Chaszel typically make inserts that allow you to shoot a pistol or rifle cartridge in your single or double shotgun, Little Skeeters allow you to use a smaller gauge shell. Why would you want to do that. Well if you want a little less recoil when teaching someone to shoot they can use a 20 gauge shell in your 12 gauge or a 410 in your 20 ga. Maybe you have an old 16 ga and shells are a little hard to find, one of these adaptors will let you shoot a more plentiful 20 ga or 410. These inserts come in a package of two adaptors so you can fill both barrels or carry a spare if you are using a single. Just listed for your Ruger 10/22. As these were brought in as a trial there are Limited Qtys.
We now have some Replacement stocks by Hogue and Magpul.
Scope rails, most are Picatinny by EGW and Midwest Industries. all are an improvement over the factory job.
We also have brought in some bolt release plates to change that weird bolt release the 10/22s use. With this plate installed you can lock the bolt back and when you want to release the bolt to feed a cartridge or close the bolt you simply have to pull back the bolt and let go. It took about 10 minutes to change over (5 minutes if I hadn't dropped the pin).

Well, the Green Mountain barrels are here. I have added the new 10-22 barrels to the list. There are a bunch of new additions including more fluted, SS. and one with fire sights. There are limited quantities of each. Also a single 22" barrel left for the Ruger RPR listed on the Ruger 10-22 page.
Shaw barrels for 10-22 should be arriving in a couple weeks with an emphasis on 10.5" and 16.5" barrels.
Also on that shipment should be some Encore barrels in 223, 243, 6.5 Creedmoor, 30-30 (and one AI), 350 Legend, 375 win, Verrrry limited quantities of these.

Wishing a happy New year to all.
Most of the new inventory is now priced on the web site.
Some people have sent messages in over the shut down. A few have received quick replies but by and large I will be starting to clear the messages starting next week, thank you for your patience.
Bill C-21 = uncertainty.
I have been asked how this will affect NINE35 and at this point I am saying "I don't know" and continuing with business as usual. Is a barrel blank the same as a finished barrel, are liners = to barrels and are inserts = barrels?
For now there are no specific regs for the transfer of Barrels. So we carry on as usual but changes are likely coming. When? is the big question along with how onerous will they be? Will it be for the buyer to provide a PAL number? A PAL number and RCMP check? Will I have to be licenced to the same standard as a gun store? The answer is likely to have an effect on prices.

Chaszel has indicated that a 12 ga x 10mm and 12 ga x 40 S&W are in the works. We have pre ordered some of the 40 S&W in 6" and 11" they will also be available in 18" ( not currently on our order)
If you are interested in either the 10mm (6", 11" or 18") or 40 S&W (18")let us know and we can see about adding it to the order.
It looks like we will have enough orders for another MGM order to go in early January. If you want to get in, talk to us soon. Del. is currently roughly 6 months from our order date.

The awaited shipment mentioned below has finally arrived, with 50 TC barrels and a bunch of MGM barrels.
We have more on order and it will depend on whether our US supplier is able to source these as to whether we will see further shipments.
Some of the TC and most of the MGM are pre-sold. Over the next couple of days I will be contacting those who have put a deposit on these barrels and whatever is left will be listed and priced after that point.
A note about the upcoming pricing. As mentioned previously there have been some startling price increases.
Our pricing policy is to mark up based on what we paid. As an example two barrels in a particular caliber were ordered, subsequent to the TC discontinuation announcement 4 more of the same barrels were ordered. The difference in our price will result in a $70 price difference (CAD). When the initial 2 lower price barrels are sold the price will be increased on the remaining 4 barrels by the mentioned $70. This type of discrepancy is not unique to this particular caliber. In other words, despite the current situation in the TC barrel market we will continue to charge our standard mark up based on actual costs. Maybe that is stupid, but that is how we do it.

Big news, not sure whether it is good or bad yet.
Smith and Wesson announced a couple days ago that they would discontinue the Thompson Center line of firearms immediately and put it up for sale.
This is bad as the supply of barrels and parts which is already difficult to get will get much worse in the short term.
Could it be good news? Smith and Wesson has, in my opinion, not been true to the TC heritage. After they bought it, it went from a focused firearms manufacturer concentrating on single shot firearms, to a broad spectrum player. Particularly in the area of the contender and encore firearms they parred down the caliber offering to rationalize sales and profit only.
Hopefully a new owner will come forward and revitalize this neglected area of the shooting sports.
I have ordered more encore barrels to try and bring as many as I can into Canada before the well runs dry.
Of course NINE35 will still be bringing in MGM barrels to supply custom Encore and Contender barrels.
Recently we got more Green Mountain barrels in however we are still waiting to be replenished in the 9mm area in particular.

Some Bellm stuff just came in, mostly forend screws and hammer extensions. More Bellm items on order including pins, spring kits and special 80 degree honing stones to fix the sear angle. Headspace shim kits also on this order.
Talked to Chaszel and like most US manufacturers they are swamped. The next production run will include 12 ga x 30-30 and 12 ga x 45-70 and 12 ga x 44mag all in 18" lengths. Scheduled to run in early summer. If you are interested pre order now so that I can make sure to get enough in. Easy way to finally get that 45-70 double gun.
Make sure you have a strong firearm to handle these conversion inserts.
Some Green Mountain barrel blanks on order but the same situation as Chaszel, My stock is dwindling by the day many calibers are slim pickings. E-mail for available blanks.

Available Encore barrels are up on the Encore page. For most of these barrels there is only 1 left in stock.
I had a chance to do a quick look over the Chaszel inserts. They look nicely finished and are well marked. I have had some questions from customers about the fit in different barrels (particularly a rifled bore). The inserts come with 3 grooves for an o-ring at the muzzle end (and one in the chamber area). The o-ring should hold it in place and centered. Each groove is .010 bigger in dia than the previous one so you can match it to your bore by moving it to the next groove. I intend to try out the 357 mag in a H&R Tracker rifled 12 ga. that I have. I chose this one because it has a scope mounted (best chance to check accuracy with older eyes) and surprisingly it also had the largest bore. Look for a short review here in the next couple weeks. Some more Green Mountain blanks in. NINE35 caries over a dozen different calibers and over 100 barrel blanks in stock at any one time. Some blanks like 22, 6.5 and 30 cal. may have different twist rates available. Blank prices range from a little under $100 (short 9mm barrels) on up.
We have ordered some "Shaw barrel" Ruger Charger barrels (10.5") Bull profile, these will fit your Ruger 10/22 if you want to make it more compact. Note: this must be used with a fixed stock to keep the length over 26". This is legal because this is not a cut down or modified barrel but factory produced at this length.
Chaszel shotgun inserts initial order is in and will hopefully be here on the next order limited quantities of 9mm, 357 mag and 45 colt in 6", 11" and 18" Most in 20 ga but some for 12 ga.

Some odds and ends
PEREGRINE MAGnet GUN CADDY w/VELCRO are in $10 ea. these are great for rifles and shotguns that are too short to use the barrel rests in your gun safe. Or use them in the field, the magnet can be placed on your your car or truck fender to stop your gun from sliding off.
ProMag SKS 7.62 5 round mags $25 ea. Why have all that extra useless magazine hanging down there. Some work required, remove your old mag, may require some modification of the stock and a small amount of fitting to the back edge of the mag or of the mag well. So if you don't have patience and some wood working tools and skills you may want to skip these.
